Description

SO
I actually am kind of going through a huge block, sooo... had a lot of trouble typing up the fight.
Sorry about the huuuge style change, but I hope it's still good enough for the round

As far as the picture goes though, I wanted to try something very different as far as what I'd seen so far
I hope the risk I took pays off \@__@/

For the fourth time now, she was back on the stadium.

Half of her was surprised to have made it this far while the other shrugged the battles off her shoulders as 'easy wins'. It was surprising that she had actually gotten up to this point because she had amazingly enough so far not gotten pissed off enough to critically injure someone beyond the rules and given the judges a reason to be kicked off. Other than that, her opponents had been unsurprisingly picked off by her 'superior abilities'. What a load of egotistical nonsense.

Anyway, the Roserade stood again on the center of the cement slab. It was the same as usual, not much at all was different from the past three encounters. The crowd cheered and wooped and hollered noisily with a volume to be reckoned with. The announcer, standing on a podium near-by the edge of the crowd, continued on with his usual introduction. He bellowed into the microphone, the energized voice enthusing loudly on and on about the 'glory' of the island's tournament. Pheh- if you asked her, this was a pathetic excuse for a tournament.

However, there was something different. Her eyes glanced toward her opponent, and a sly smile curled her lips.

"Oh me, oh my. What have we here?"

Cordelia's smile turned into a smirk, an arm crossing over her chest to place a hand on her elbow, the other hand coming up to her chin with a finger on her lip. This was certianly an interesting turn of events, oh yes it was. Tall, strongly built, powerful features and handsome. Get a load of this hunk! How lucky, she thought, to have gotten a fine piece of ass for this battle. Finally, it looked like she'd be getting her money's worth with this opponent. And if she knew anything about checking someone out, she'd say he was doing the same damn thing to her and she was to him. He was /so/ her type.

"--TRODUCING CYAN, THE NIDOKING, VERS--"

Cyan, huh? Odd name, but not like she would care about that certain piece of info much. Names had nothing to do with being hot and totally her type. Maybe it only really mattered to, perhaps, find him after she beat his ass in the tournament. Being attractive still didn't meant that you had a chance against her skillls... atleastsoshethinks. She doubted there were many Nidokings in the island when counting the civilians, and eitherway there should only be one enlisted into the gyms.

Too bad for her, she had been a liiiiittle too busy eyeing the guy up and down to get prepared for the "FIGHT!" that drowned out the crowd a second after. Oh. Oops. But lucky her, Cyan looked just about as off-put and caught off-guard as she had been. Guess they really were in the same page, huh? ...but if that was the case, then she could use that in her advantage. A grin curled her lips at the thought.

---------

The fight had been going on for a while now. A long while.

It had started simple and teasing, with both sides taking up a... I guess you could call 'strategy' with Attract, but really it was more of just shameless flirting. At least from Cor's part. She was so into him already, and the fact that he knew how to fight and was good at it only added to the fact that she, in all honesty, wanted in his pants.

The two waged war fiercely, though obviously struggling through the effects of the attract they had both used on one another, some attacks missing or finding themself somehow simply unable to charge in with their move for a moment or two, providing an opening for the other. An Earthquake met a Giga Drain, and a Sludge Bomb collided with a Shadow Ball. Her Poison Jab struck his cheek, and his Strength sent her flying into the rocks. The battle kept going on and on and on, evenly-matched. Cyan was strong, but Cor was fast. While she didn't take that many hits and evaded most of them, those that did land felt rather unpleasant, to put it very, very lightly. On the other hand, while her power wasn't up to his par, nearly all of her moves whacked him, and surely the sheer number put together was taking a toll on his health.

Of course the whole time she just couldn't stop flirting, even under the strain of the fight.

Eventually though, the two had simply reached a point- the one where you know it's a do or be done. The battle was approaching its end after a seemingly endless struggle. It pissed her off to know she'd been relying on this certain move for nearly all of her battles in the tournament so far, but she'd do what she'd have to do. She seriously hated using this move so much though.

As usual, the rose took a deep breath in, staring down at her opponent from the top of the large rock structure she had jumped up to, away from her hot enemy's reach. Flower petals began to flow in, seemingly coming from no where at all, into the stadium and closer to her. Quickly, the numbers of the petals grew, littering the air with pink, shifting spots. The Nidoking at the bottom looked, if anything, amused at the spectacle. In all honesty, he looked rather clueless at the danger-- a thought confirmed as she saw him reach other to clutch a petal in his hand, probably in a display of power, only to take on a surprised expression. That's right, enjoy that deep cut in your hand now.

A couple of the petals nicked at her own skin as well as his, but she pushed the thought away. Had to concentrate. Had to control her breathing. Had to focus. There was a small shake on the ground as rocks cracked from the ground they both stood on and floated at his side. She grinned. This was going to be fun.

Without a warning at all, Cordelia took a leap towards the fellow Poison-type, a leg extended with her heel aimed at the top of his head-- too bad for her, he was given just enough time to react and send the Stone Edges flying at her. A couple of them hit, creating long, bleeding gashes on her arm, waist, and thighs. But it was too late to stop her attack. The back of her heel collided with his head with a loud WHAM, Petal Dance in effect. Lucky him, he had a thick skull. But she didn't stop there- she couldn't. Before loosing the momentum of the strike, she pushed off (her other foot on his face, how elegant) and backflipped back into balance, landing on a rock. Again, more of his rocks flew after her. One cut her cheek, other her upper arm. This wasn't the time to let him get away.

Jumping from her spot on the rock, she aimed a second kick at him, this one coming in from the side with his head being the target again. If she could knock his brains out like a light, she wouldn't have to worry about chopping away more at his health. God she loved Nidokings, but they sure as hell were a pain the fucking ass to battle. Hard to topple over- like pushing over a cement block up a slope. WOMP, her heel his the side of his face, right over the four bleeding gashes her barbed knuckles had previously left. Hope that one stung. This time around though, she didn't get to recover in time.

Before she pushed off him again, Cyan grabbed her ankle and, with a snarl from the rose, flung her over to the harsh rocks. Her back hit the jagged structure, and boy was she lucky that didn't just snap her spine like a twig. Cordelia laid on the spot for a second, eyes shut in pain while trying to control her breathing. In, out, in, out- calmly. Push the pain away. When she cracked an eye open, a surprise Shadow Ball aimed at her face awaited. "MOTHERFU--" Narrowly dodging the attack, she rolled over to the side twice, before standing back up to face her opponent. "Nice shot! Too bad you won't be coming that close to hitting me again." A smirk was what she got in response, along with, "Yeah we'll see about that."

Falling for the taunt, Cyan approached with a second Shadow Ball at hand. But she was ready for it. Giving him a smirk of her own, the Roserade met the attack with barbs extending from her knuckles, punching right through the dark ball and hitting the palm of his hands with a Poison Jab. Her spikes dug in deeper, crossing over the gash the petal he'd grabbed had left.

Don't give him a break. Keep on attacking. Leave no spot open for a counter-attack. Keeping the momentum going, she glared up at him-- only to realize to confusion and exhaustion was getting to her. She was seeing double, and her knee felt like it was about to give out as the world gave a shift underneath her feet. Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck fuck. Holy shit she hated the feeling after using that stupid attack- but she'd have to do Petal Dance again if she wanted to win. Snarling viciously, all traces of fun flirting leaving, she rose up a leg to hive the cuts on his cheek a second kick. That earned her a hiss, and enough time to bring her leg back down while pulling her hand out of his-- only to send forward against his stomach. Thank god for the extra strength in this attack, or else that one would have hurt /her/ more than him.

He hunched over, if only a little bit to clutch at the four holes dug into his skin by her still-exposed barbs, but it was all that she needed. She could reach now. Cordelia, not about to waste the small opening of an opportunity, reached up to snatch a fist-full of hair ( "''the fUCK ARE YOU DOING?!" ), and yanked down hard. Maybe she had caught him in enough of a surprise, but her plan actually worked, and she brought up a knee to meet his face mid-trajectory. CRACK. Ouch. That outta hurt.

....but was it still enough to bring him down?
